At our church, we believe in the importance of life events such as baptism, confirmation, weddings, and memorial services. These sacred moments not only strengthen our faith but also connect us to our community and God. We invite you to explore these opportunities and discover how we can support you and your loved ones during these important milestones. If you are interesting in any of these services or life events, use the contact us form at the bottom of the page to get in contact with our Rev. Susan Snelling

Baptism for Children
In the Anglican Church, infant and child baptism also commonly called "Christening" is a sacrament of initiation, This marks the start of a journey of faith and welcoming the child into the Church family. What is a "Sacrament"? A sacrament represents an outward and visible sign of an inward, invisible grace. This grace is bestowed upon us through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who transforms us as we deepen our understanding and love of God.
When your children are baptized, you take a vow before God to nurture them in the Christian faith and community.

Weddings
Couples wishing to marry here are required to complete marriage preparation which allows for spiritual growth together. For more details about marriage preparation and wedding fees, please contact the church office.

Funeral & Memorial Services
If you wish to hold a Funeral or Memorial Service at St. George’s or Christ Church-St. Jude’s, please contact Rev. Susan Snelling, or ask a Funeral Home to reach out on your behalf.

Baptism for Adults
Adults also have the opportunity to be baptized. Baptism is administered within the context of a principal celebration of the eucharist, in view of the responsibility being undertaken by the community for the support and nurture of the newly baptized, and the nature of baptism as entrance to the communicant life.

Confirmation
If you were baptized as a child, you can later reaffirm your commitment to Christ in a confirmation service.
We look forward to supporting you in your spiritual journey and celebrating these significant events in your. If you have any questions or would like more information, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us.
